Subject: Distal radial fracture after smiths fracture

This distal radial fracture occured five years after plating of a smiths fracture. It was not a fracture through a screw hole. I have never seen this, has anyone else. Are there any references to this occurence. Was treated with new AO buttress locking plate from volar approach after removing old plate
